I’ve finally acclimated myself to the combat system a bit, and I really like it not sure if I like it more than Rance’s system yet, but you have a lot more choices that can be made in how you equip yourself and such. My favorite part definitely has to be Gamerica when killing their generic Admirals, you get to hear them scream “Holy Shit” “My God” “Jesus” “Oh my God” and so on… and it’s funny every single time. Still, you could probably play the game for a good hour or two without running into much Japanese. Though I still hit pockets of English translation, so it just seems to be the specific route I chose and the various minor characters I’m talking to during the Event stage. On the Alicesoft front, I’m really digging Daiteikoku I’ve long hit the cap where most of the text is in Japanese, but I’m still happily playing away. Really took a lot of fun out of the game when you’d have to reboot it constantly and never knew how much progress you lost since it would lock up right before an autosave. I crashed every couple of turns playing on Direct X 10/11, and every once and awhile (though it was still a guarantee to happen to eventually) on Direct X 9. My only complaint, though a massive one, is that it doesn’t like my video card or something. It actually does both elements really well, and I can’t complain about playing in that time period. I’m a big strategy game fan myself (turn based) and I do have a love for RTS games, even if I’m not a fan of them competitively, so I couldn’t help but be drawn to Total War: Shogun 2 I’ve been playing it on an off over the last few months when I picked it up on Steam for cheap. Anyhow, I may buy a case because it meets a multitude of categories, but generally speaking if it really strongly meets one, I’d probably buy it. Obviously the artwork one in that phrasing of it would apply to all, but I’m talking cases that just have something that make me want to look at it, even if there isn’t a bared leg. Something like explicitness, character loyalty, character cuteness (this case), and maybe artwork. You know, I think I’d probably split my case purchases into 3-4 categories.
